Musical Charis (that's how it's spelled) was solid, fresh from the studio where there laying down a new album.
Zuhg brought a super fun crew and played an amazing and versatile set. Thanks for playing at Beatnik guys!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WESLEY! She had a blast.. we had a pinata and everything. Good times.

So it's over. Another wppi has come and gone, boy are we beat, but what a great feeling. Yesterday we saw Mike Larson speak about leadership and systems in the business of photography and today we sat in with Gene Higa an SF local who talked about branding and how important it is to your studio and clients. We stuck around after both lectures and talked to them about doing workshops at beatnik! HUGE!

What a Amazing amount of energy around this convention and trade show. Lindsay and I are stoked to bring it back to Sac and really give the industry back home a new name and face! beatnik studios has been fueled with drive and determination since we opened, but now, watch out. Change is in the air, get ready to hit the ground running with us as we do it up beatnik style for our 2nd year!

Last night Linds and I went all out! We met up with Alt F crew at The Double Down (a kick ass punk rock bar) and had a great time at the Anti Workshop Reunion... Thanks so much John and Dalisa, you always know how to throw a party:) Then we pulled a fast one and party hoped over to the Hard Rock Hotel for the Blu domain party, we owe them a big thanks. We had too much fun... So to BLUdomain thanks for throwing an amazing party! You guys rock! Anyone who needs a website should check 'em out. Our site is a blu template and so is Wes's, Lindsay's, and mine.

All in all we had a blast hanging with old friends and making new ones. We talked with some of the best photographers in the industry, and connected on new levels. We leave vegas humbled, ready, and hungry! Stay tuned for photos of our trip!

Michael Starchild

The loft at Beatnik has been honored to have Michael Starchild as a house guest. Michael is character cut from the fabric of ancient folklore. He is an amazing jeweler, musician, storyteller and world traveler. He has traveled by bicycle from coast to coast and continent to continent. You can meet Starchild this weekend at the Zuhg show. Ask him about his T-rex tooth!

Hey all! This is Alex, typing at you from WPPI. Lindsay and I are hanging in Vegas, baby Vegas, rep-ing the beatnik style. Things are exciting, elbow rubbing with some of the biggest names is the biz. This morning we listened to Jim Garner and boy was I impressed. Tonight we're rocking out to Blues Traver and loosing more money at the slots, but at least the drinks are free (if you hear about the MGM going bust it's because linz and I drank all there liquer).

In other news I am the proud new owner of a Nikon 14-24mm 2.8, YES!!

And Lindsay is going to hit the big jackpot tonight and buy the 5D mkII!!

we miss you Wes, Al, and Kyle. We'll be home soon!
